The film appeal to a wide audiences though the techniques
used by using a nuclear family means that it appeals to a wide audience, by the
film not using shock tactics means that family are not put off and are more
likely to watch it. The family also link to Perkins positive stereotypes as the
family are presented in a positive way as the daughter and the mother save the
husband which links back to nuclear family as nuclear families are known to be
caring and a close knit family. The video has shown to be evident to attract a
wide audience as it has reached over 129 countries through social networking sites
and video sharing; it has also gain 14 million views on YouTube and Facebook. The
video applies to a wide audience as the video does not have any dialogue which
means that the film is not generic but applies to all audiences as the film is
very generic and does not appeal to one audience. It also does not have a
language barrier which means that it can be seen by any audience even those who
don’t speak English.
